The Upper Residency, which serves student-athletes in grades 6 through 10, integrates Cognia-accredited academics with elite soccer development through Forms' proprietary FORMAX methodology. The relocation from Frisco places the program in a 24,000 square-foot facility purpose-built for high-performance athletic development, with convenient access for families along the SH-121 corridor.

Forms Academy Primary Residency will remain at its current location at Z-Plex Sports Complex in Melissa, continuing to serve students in grades K through 6.

About the new location.

INPOWERiQ Performance Center is a premier athletic training facility in McKinney that brings technology-driven strength and conditioning, sports science, recovery, and sport-specific training together in one purpose-built environment. Forms Academy Upper Residency student-athletes will have daily access to:

  • A KONGiQ-enabled strength and conditioning room with eight performance racks and integrated training analytics
  • Indoor and outdoor turf training fields
  • A 60-meter Mondo speed track for sprint mechanics and conditioning work
  • A dedicated Sports Science Lab for performance testing and benchmarking
  • A full recovery suite including cold plunge pools, NormaTec compression, and infrared sauna
  • Dedicated indoor classroom and instructional space for academic delivery
  • Reliable, school-grade Wi-Fi infrastructure to support online curriculum and learning platforms

The facility's evidence-based approach to athletic performance complements Forms Academy's cognitive and skill-based soccer development model, creating an environment where student-athletes can train, learn, and recover without the time loss of traveling between multiple sites.

Daily recovery as a standard component.

For the first time, daily recovery becomes a standard component of the Upper Residency student experience. Access to cold plunge, NormaTec compression, infrared sauna, and supervised recovery protocols supports both physical readiness during the season and long-term athlete health. This is a meaningful shift from the legacy youth soccer model, in which recovery is often an afterthought scheduled around an already overpacked day.

Too often, student-athletes spend their entire day traveling between training sessions, gyms, recovery appointments, and school. Hosting Upper Residency at INPOWERiQ lets us deliver everything our students need under one roof. Just as importantly, it gives them back something equally critical to their development: time to recover, reset, and simply be kids.

Why it matters.

Elite athletic development is about far more than technical training. Movement mechanics, injury prevention, recovery protocols, cognitive performance, strength development, and lifestyle balance all play critical roles in helping young athletes reach their full potential. The relocation gives Forms Academy Upper Residency students access to all of these resources in a single facility, every school day, throughout the academic year.
